I'm new to Che and new to his ideas and all this. I was brought to the attention of him from the mass marketing and the mention of his name from a friend. I ordered Jon Lee Andersons biography on him, which I heard is one of the best places to start with to learning about him. I've never really delved into marxist/communist/socialist ideas, but I stumbled across this site learning more about Che. Everybody here seems real nice, so I decided to join. I was just wanting to know if there were any essential things I really needed to know about him. I am growing more and more interested in these ideals, and hope this place to spawn new ideals.

I'm not so sure about that...

But what I do know is that www.CheLives.com has some good speeches from him. And for some good writings from him http://marx.org/archive/guevara/index.htm is a good place to start.

Hope I helped.

Yes, how many have read John Lee Anderson's bio on Che? I'm in the middle of it, and I must say Andeerson is rather fair and extremely detailed. It is a very good read.
