Me and my friend who I've recently gotten interested in Leftism are wondering how to start a youth movement/party. None of us really have the credentials since were both pretty new to the game, before we've only just dabled in ideologies. We've never really put it into practice or read much until recently.
Should we start a movement, being that we are in a small town and that we don't know the highschool kids these days.I've seen some kids wearing Che t-shirts and a kid with a hammer and sickle t-shirt walking down the street.
Theres is a green-party but as we all know they are quite reformist and I don't feel this particular sect in my town emphasises enough on class conciousness.

Oh my god dude, do not start another party. Look at the list of political organisations on this board, find one you like, and join it. Get your friend to join it, then work from there, most parties already have programs and resources for you to use instead of starting from scratch.
I, of course, reccomend my group, the Direct Action Tendency. www.actiontendency.net Read "towards a revolutionary mass movement" to get a run down of what we're about.

Really, most parties don't offer resources.
Me and my fellow comrades near my town started a "party" buts its mostly an orginizational body to inform and protest. We aren't splinters off of the group, as you don't plan to be.
You should first write essays and what-not to really figure out where you stand. Develop what you feel and then if you feel really storngly about it with other people, protest and stir things up.

I think it is a great idea. Get a group of people together, find a public park to meet, don't worry about infiltration, then work collectively to be socially active, do things like feed the homeless, raise money for good causes and of course protest.
If you do get this started up I can make the trip up to Pasco. In the meantime you are welcome to come down to St. Pete and help feed the homeless with Food Not Bombs, if you are interested, get in contact with me.

I suggest you and you like-minded friends start some kind of simple discussion group, to really see how you feel, and what should be done about it. But I would not suggest starting another political party. Start small, then go big when you truly understand where you stand on important issues. Perhaps set up this discussion group, then assign yourselves a reading list, and then discuss with each other your ideas on what you read. But this 'group' idea, of course, operates under the assumption that you indeed have a group. I've often wnated to start something similar in my area, something like a 'communist league' or something, but unfortunately most of my friends either despise politics in general or are ambitious capitalists. You, comrade, are quite fortunate to actually have direct contact with comrades, not just this internet discussion.
