I've read that while he was the leader of the La Cabana fortress prison, he executed lots of people, and tortured them. It is supposedly documented by Armando Valladares. As for supression, the executions arent what bothers me. But if Che was such a great man and a people lover why would he take an interest in tortureing people? What are your thoughts? I dont know if any of this is true, so please feel free to correct me.

Torture? That's false. Haven't even see Che personally accused of that before, and I've seen him accused of lots of other things.
Valladares is a former employee of the Batista police, who was sent to jail after dynamite was found hidden in his basement, during the CIA-sponsored terrorist campaign against the revolution. He then became a cause celebre as a poet and political prisoner locked up by the awful Castro dictatorship.
It was claimed that he had lost the use of his legs due to being tortured in prison. When he was released and flew to Miami they even had a wheelchair waiting for him. Then he walked off the plane.
Naturally, he was appointed the U.S. delegate to the UN Human Rights Commission.

Fidel is adamant (for what it's worth to you) that in forty odd years of revolution no-one has been tortured under his sanction. That was the way of Batista.

Armando Valladares, like many other gusanos is filled with these great and dramatic stories, of course he tries to capture the hearts of the Yankees by telling he was tortured and Che did all these evil things just to make him and his former dictatorial regime look good!
However we have to realise that such liars should not be believed, the criminals who served Batista were put on trial after the revolution and received the chance to defend themselves, when proven guilty they were punished. Sure there have been executions, these men were criminals against the people of Cuba, the trails after the Revolution could be comparable to the Nuremberg Trails in a way, the criminals were put to justice and Che wasnt afraid to also execute these criminals!

True. It's the same with this bullshit about "Oh Che tortured and killed gay people and people with AIDS!". I hate it when people throw around false accusations like that! WAKE UP!!!!! AIDS wasn't discovered until the 1980's, 20yrs after Che's death!

Che has been accused of this kind of stuff from the Miami gangsters for a long time. I have even seen Cuban ciAnarchist groups put out this kind of garbage.
