I thought it was an excellent documentary, up until the point of Billy Bragg's tone-deaf, couldn't carry a note to save his life, catterwhalling. That was just painful :( But otherwise, a brilliant documentary, and certainly going in my bookmarks.

However, I can't make up my mind which English version is better, Billy Braggs, or the Original, found here : L'internationale (http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Internationale)

That was a very good documentary, very enjoyable. Though a quick question, does anyone know where to find an audio file of the English version. The original would be preferable.

Thanks in advance. :)

If anyones interested, there are quite a few audio versions here (http://www.hymn.ru/internationale/index-en.html). Though all the English versions are new, though Maxx Klaxon’s version is quite good. Weird but good.

I prefer Alistair Hulett's version. Although the fact that I know him might bias me. :P

I had a guitar lesson from him actually.

Sadly, it seems like the link isn't working again. I've tried re-searching the FSTV, but it doesn't seem to be there.

I don't know if this is just a temporary thing or not, I hope so.

Is this vid dead forever, does no one have another copy of it, or maybe an alternative website?

I sent an email to the website, just on the offchance.

Hi,

I'm a moderator at a radical left discussion forum called Revolutionary Left. For a while, we had a thread dedicated to the "Internationale" documentary which your website hosted. Unfortunately, this documentary is no longer available on the website at least. Is there any chance you could put it back up, or could we arrange to host a copy ourselves? It was an excellent piece and we'd love for all our members (over 7000!) to have the opportunity to watch it.

Thanks,

Callum.

I asked my friend (who is great with computers) whether it was possible to download the documentary and put it on DVD for my comrades who have no computer. Anyway he never managed but as a consequence I have this file still on my computer. If someone gives me instructions could I upload this to Revleft?

I would suggest writing to Malte on this. He is the person who set up this board in the first place. Otherwise, I would encourage you to look into making a BitTorrent of this movie and posting a link to the torrent file so we can download it from your computer.

Hulett's version is much much better than Bragg's.

I've a friend (http://www.polmacadaim.com/) who has recorded it in English and in Irish. They both sound good as well.
