No offence, and i dont mean to be stereotypical, but isn't Asatru a Northern European religion from ancient times that has links to Neo-Nazis?

I assume that you are Icelandic or of Icelandic descent by your username, so it may be part of your culture.

Astaru is generally related to revivals of pre-christian religions primarily those of norse mythology.

It is true that there were ties between Astaru and the Nazis, but only because the Nazis associated themselves with them. I don't believe Nordic Mythology is racist or at all concerned with the twisted interests of Nazism.

Yes, the Nazis were into satr, but they were only abusing it in a way that I believe they thought would justify their actions.

Even though it is a native North European religion, satrar don't do any discrimination by race, sex, or anything of that nature. Most groups are non-political, but they do advocate gay rights and believe in equality for all.

My username is the Old Norse word for Thor, one of our Gods. I'm not Icelandic, but I am of Norwegian descent, and that's what got me into the religion in the first place =D

From the word "Thunar" I believe.

Wednesday comes from Wodan/Onn/Odin

Friday is controversial - some say it was named after Frigga, some say Freya or Frey

Monday is from the moon, Man

Tuesday is from Tyr

Sunday is from the sun, Sunna

Saturday I'm not so sure.

It is very beautiful, artistically, with the Eddas and other works or literature.

I never got into runes, though, because magic is just one thing that looked like total frie bullcrap to me. Same thing with prayer.

That's not a contradiction, really, because the beliefs of satr don't confict with those of communism.

Besides, there so many religious people, that if in order to have communism we had to abolish religion, communism would NEVER work.

They have to and will coexist.

The Nazi's also stole their symbol from the Navajo. But the Navajo dropped the symbol after all the madness of Nazism.

I think you are mistaken on that. Hitler got the swastika from the Jain (considered one of the oldest religions in the world) religion in India. The symbol for the Jains meant the four "realms" you could be born into (Earth, Heaven, Hell, and I forgot the last one). Each realm coincided with a hole in the swastika. Hitler also supposedly got the idea for the aryan race from the aryans that invaded India thousands of years ago. They came from Europe and conquered the land and Hitler saw that as the image he wanted and he used there name.

That's not actually true. The 'Aryans' were not a 'race' of people, they were a group of central asians (a localised population, the persians for example were an aryan 'tribe'), from what is modern-day Iran. So they certainly were not a 'race', nor were they from what western europeans would regard as 'europe', nor where they by any western standard 'white'.

Well, I know that it was a symbol used by the Navajo, and once the Nazis started using said symbol, the Navajo dropped it outta respect.

But did Hitler take it directly from the Navajo? That I'm not sure.
