nevermind, I discovered what it's doing on my own.. surprisingly, nobody else has told me about it, and I'm not sure how long people haven't been able to make new characters.. I'll try to fix it now.

Wow.. that's more characters that are currently playing. I really wish I'd have been made aware of this bug much sooner.. damn.

Anyhow, even if you didn't try to make a character already, by all means do so! Work is beginning to resume on the game, so a lot more should be added soon.

btw, everyone, recently this game has had a lot of updates (in fact, it's about the only thing I've worked on that wasn't necessary for a couple weeks now), and is a lot more functional now as a result. It's still in Alpha testing, but within a month or so I plan on finishing up the party/syndicate aspect of the game, which will need greater numbers of players to be tested. After that, it will go into beta, and I'll start advertising for more players.

I'll be entirely frank, however: the game is meant to attract people who are under-exposed to leftist ideals and practices, and synthesizing them into a growing left. Hopefully I'll be successful in that.

I have recently joined but it takes very long to load and sometimes does not even load at all. I have tried Firefox and IE but both work slow. Anything you can do Encephalon to speed it up?

actually, I have made it quite a bit faster.. I had to, or else the game would have been shut down. So you may want to try again.

Note that during peak hour on the internet, redapollo.org can be pretty slow regardless of what is happening.

Btw, you can now produce weapons, armor, items, etc in a syndicate in the game.
