Extremism is a relative term; in this case, a term you use to label people YOU particularly don't agree with (then you manufacture ideology) and indeed use the straw man you are so fond of.

You make my point so well by setting up the straw figure before anyone even posts here, with commentary on the behavior of whoever...

You then make the assertion with an air of absolute truth that others are arrogant and "have a license to the truth." :lol:

Wait, your saying we act as if we have "a licence to the truth on everything" but your the one saying that we're all ignorant of history? How could you possibly know that?

I don't get that you claim to know all extremists on either side. And say that we are all incredibly dense. That is saying we are either stupid, refuse to budge on our positions, or are just plain slow. Yet I know many intellectuals that are Leftists, and whom have had a slowly evolving ideology (Bookchin comes to mind).

So how does making broad generalizations not make you naive?

Protest-Warriors are the biggest bunch of idiots you'll ever meet. Go there, you'll see. Most of the time they don't argue about politics. They'll talk about movies and stuff like that, especially sports. "Post-whoring" is rampant there too, where they'll just say whatever stupid thing is on there mind. One Republican made a post about how he likes to tortue animals and talked about how he killed a possum with graphic detail. And then things to "get back" at "leftists" like going to other people's message boards and spamming it then complaining when they get banned, or what a certain hippy looks like, and so on.

When people make serious remarks, mainly leftists, they'll just reply with pictures from Ebaulm's world. They barely scratch the surface of political thought, mostly it's just Rush Limbaugh style conversations between themselves, nothing deep goes on there.

There has to be better right-wing sites.

Yes, we talk about Entertainment in the Entertainment forum.

And I agree with you for the most part. There are some very good posters there, a lot of them, but the sure volume of morons, both left and right wing, makes the place suck.

There are good debates there, but it's buried under the crap.

The only reason this forum is 'better' is because it censors and bans anyone who doesn't fit with it's caste.
