I thought I had the actual date there, but I guess I wanted to be a wise-ass. (so doing the arithmetic's not going to do much good).

Let's just say I'm a child of the eighties (less then three months short of the 70s), which makes me one of the older people here (minus Disgustapated and Commie Girl and Misbach. . .and Seraphim. . .by a couple months).

Why? The Cultural Revolution proved that youth are capable of waging revolution. The Red Gaurds were just a bunch of radical middle school and high school kids, and they controled China for a while. They weren't organized enough though and a lot of them went out of control and started burning and looting randomly...

Besides, it's not like the revolution is going to start tommorow. We have all the old members we need (like Redstar), but they won't be the ones fighting the revolution. It's ideal that we're "a bunch of 14 year olds".

Most 14 year olds I know have a better understanding of communism than most 30 year olds I know. Ageism is another form of oppression which should be done away with.

I'm 22, wow I had no idea how many young members there were here. The good news is that all of you are still getting an education and you need to take advantage of it. Stand up to your teachers and start discussions at school, that is the best place for a young person to make a difference. Believe me, when you graduate from high school (if you plan to graduate which is a good idea) and you start having to provide for yourself it gets harder to protest, so do it when you have a huge audience of your peers b/c we are the ones who will be able to make the biggest difference.

To be in our leftist movement and know so much at such an early age is something that you comrades should be proud of. It is true that youths have the upper hand on the protesting field than the other members because I'm living on my own for the first time and believe me, there is a lot of responsibilities and getting the word out is getting difficult for me. Che Guevara knew the potential of the youth faction and considered them as very important to the construction of the communist society because they would replace the older generation someday. I'm proud! :lol:
