So in every book I have read about Ernesto Che Guevara, I have tried to analyze how it is they say he was killed, where his body went, and what not. I've read plenty however, I despite what I have read I don't think he was killed the way most books claimed and let alone when they say he was. I doubt, despite how bad they might have wanted to kill him, they would have done knowing the kind of knowledge and what not that he could have given them and that they could have gotten out of him.
So my question is what do you guys think? What are the versions you have heard and what do you personally believe?

As far as i know, he was shot on the 9th October 1967 and his body was found 30 years later in 1997 at an airstrip in Vallegrande in Bolivia. He was then sent to Cuba where he was buried with full military honours in Santa Clara.

So how is it possible that there are video scenes of his body? (and there were also people walking around him)

Didn't the Bolivian government take photographs of them humiliating his corpse?

There probably is video of Che laying in the school house although I'm not sure online where they would be. You may want to find a documentary or something of actual video, but pictures of his body are avaible pretty much lots of places on the internet.
Where is his actual physical body or remains? In Cuba. I wouldn't turn this into some type of Elvis thing.

Yes, so there were only Bolivian soliers and civilians? Ok, now I understand...

As far as I know.. he was murdered in Bolivia by CIA and they amputated his hands so that he would not be recognized.
... They buried his body in some unspecified location because they did not want his burial site to become a shrine.
I have heard of so many attempts to relocate the burial site , even by the Bolivian Officers who were involved in burying him... but all efforts were futile.

There was a documentary on the Discovery Channel, entitled 'Che'. It was typical biased American journalism, but did depict Che in an almost-balanced sorta way.
Anyways, they showed footage of locals walking around the deceased body of Guevara with his eyes still open. There are also audio clips of soldiers holding Che's head up as if it were a piece of gold. (Those friggin dogs...)
After Che was killed, his body was abandoned, missing of course his right hand which was cut off to identify him. I believe there are only skeletal remains, though I could be mistaken.
The place where Guevara was executed and put on display is sorta a shrine now to many who come and visit. There are many writings on the walls saying their fond farewells to a revolutionary. Quite interesting to say the least.
I encourage you all to watch the documentary...just remember it is American media.

Yah I've seen the pictures and stuff and you can call it denial but I don't believe it. I might be wrong but something about it just doesn't make sense. I had a whole list of reasons a couple years ago but I lost it. Thanks anyways I guess it sounds like a crazy theory but I am gonna pan it out better one day.

This is what I've learned through all my reading on Che (and I've been reading about him and his works for the past solid two years). He was wounded when he was captured, but it wasn't a major wound because he actually stood up himself walking leaning against one of the soldiers that captured him to go to where they were going to hold him.
They tried to question him but, of course, they couldn't get anything out of Che other than revolutionary comments that I'm certain only Che could deliver the way he did. They (the U.S. represented by their C.I.A. - Felix Rodriguez- and the Bolivian paramilitary government that was completely cooperating with the U.S.- Mario Teran is the one that fired the fatal shot and pretty much has had to live in hiding since) saw Che as a major danger to them because he wasn't corrupt and he was never afraid of saying exactly what was on his mind. Che never sold out to anyone!! I think they were just afraid of what he might accomplish next. So, instead, apparently the order came from the Bolivian government in power (please note I say "apparently" because I'm certain that the CIA had a lot to do with this decision) to kill him and pass his death off as the result of his wound. Oh, and they did amputate his hands those damn monsters (I'd like to amputate their heads).
Minor problem.....at some point (I'm not sure when exactly, I'd have to look this up) an autopsy was done and documents from this autopsy clearly state that the wound that killed him would have killed him within something like 5 or 10 minutes. Therefore this is complete proof of the fact that he was murdered and did not die from a wound received in battle since he was captured on Oct. 8th and was killed on the 9th. The pictures that you see are the ones that they took after his death. There were many people that flocked over to see him from all over.
After that, Che along with other guerrilleros that had been captured and killed were buried in an undisclosed mass grave that was only finally identified in 1997.
His body was finally transferred to Cuba, with a great welcome from the Cuban people and Fidel. But just to let you know the last little thing about his death that I personally find extremely consoling is that there seems to be a pattern of terrible things and deaths occurring to all of the people that were involved with his death. I'm not religious in any way, but I believe in the possibility of some kind of after life and wouldn't it be wonderful if Che was still working toward Revolution after his death and a little part of him was devoted to guiding each and every true revolutionary to the right path......
I hope this helps,

Heres the most accepted version of the events surrounding the murder of Che Guevara:
Him and his comrades were trapped in a ravine. They encountered about 8 enemies. Che, concealed behind a huge boulder, is eventually hit 3 times in the left leg. His only comrade left picks up Che, moves him into a safer area, and keeps firing. Che's gun is shot in the battle, rendering it useless. The two guerrillas are captured at about 4 p.m.
They are moved to Vallegrande, and are being interrogated. Che, who refuses to answer any questions, is left in a tiny room overnight. Che slaps a drunk soldier who attempts to humiliate him. As a result of this, Che is beaten and has his hands and feet bound.
On October 9th, Felix Rodriguez enters the room that contains Che. He quietly observes the scene in the schoolhouse, and records what he sees, finding the situation "gruesome" with Che lying in dirt, his arms tied behind his back and his feet bound together, next to the bodies of his friends. Rodriguez gets the order five hundred, six hundred. Five hundred refers to Che, six hundred means kill him.
Sergeant James Teran enters the room. Che stands and says " Iknow what you have came for. Shoot coward, you are only goin to kill a man". Teran riddles Ches arms and legs, and then shoots Che in the thorax, which fills his lungs with blood.
It was long an open secret that Che had not been cremated. It was simply where the bodies of the guerrillas where. In 1995, Salinas, a general, revels where the bodies were buried. In 1997, a skeleton with no hands was founf. Dental records prove that, it is indeed, the remains of Che Guevara. His remains, and that if his comrades, are returned to Cuba with full military honours. His remains are placed under the statue of Che, In Santa Clara, where they are guarded to this day.
In the gallery of Che-Lives.com, there are photos of his remains, and if my memory serves me correctly, his corpse. If not, there are photos on CelebrityMorgue.com.
On the documentary El Che, there is video of the corpse of Che.

How is it a mystery?
I don't mean this to be argumentative, just a query. If you would like to share what you find mysterious about the event, I will attempt to explain.

He was captured in la higuera (not sure how you spell it)on the 8th oct 67, and then shot the next day (9th Oct 67) his body was found 30 years later. He was then taken to Cuba where he was buried with full military honours etc. (in Santa Clara)
