Wow, I just saw Sin City. What a great movie!
Without a doubt one of the best I've ever seen.
And a very sharp political 'hidden message' in it to.
After all... who trusts the cops anyway?
Did anyone here see the movie?
I think Tarantino played a big role in directing it, really his style.
Looks good though I really don't care too much about political messages in a film. I switch off completely when I watch movies.

Damn. I am a huge Tarantino buff, but I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm pretty sure he only directed parts of it, and Roberto Rodriguez did most, but their good buds so I'm sure their styles are very similar, plus look at all their other movies, they all had simlarities. Anyways, I never read the comic, but I heard it was pretty good, hopefully I'll get the movie on DVD.
Also, I hope it does have a political message, because I've always just hoped that Tarantino leans to the left, I would love to know for sure.

Tarantino always has really good messages in his films.
Reservoir Dogs was a parable on forgiveness.
Pulp Fiction was a story about redemption.
Jackie Brown was a tale of shedding the past.
Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 was an epic for retribution.
3 out of 4, basicaly the same message. But a good one none-the-less.

Tarantino was head of the judging panel which have Farenheit 9/11 the Palme D'or, which might give a hint of his allegiances.
To be honest, it's one thing that the Right is correct about - Hollywood is full of Lefties  Or at least wooly Liberals <_<

Yeah, Sin City was really good...a lot better than I thought it would be... wished they would have gotten someone other than Jessica Alba and Britney Murphy..

I didn't mind their presence  ...I really don't like Michael Madsen though. Even in 'Dogs, he just doesn't strike me as very good, even when he's doing his scruffy, hoarse voice, smoking bit.

;) im pretty sure if there was political underlineing in the film it came from frank miller-- becuse there was a definite political theme in his graphic novels--not the directors ( rodriguez or tarantino)

I'm so appauled, I honestly don't think I can live after hearing this blasphemy... Nah, I'm just kiddin', I can live, I'll just need a couple years of therapy.
I love Madsen in all his movies, especially the Tarantino ones, also he was set to play Vincent Vega, but he couldn't get out of rehearsal for Wyatt Earp.

Or that thing he does with his eyebrows to make himself look cool.
God I hate that.
