View Full Version : The truth about the Venezuelan media

A while back in the SvC forum a right-winger was echoing the DC line that Chavez is unpopular in Venezuela and that he controls the media. As I recall, I stated that the private media in Venezuela was severely anti-Chavez. I can't recall now if he said I was lying or not.

For those interested in this story, I found this article (http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?SectionID=45&ItemID=2321) which shows the clear bias of the private media in Venezuela.

Once again, the right-wing has shown itself unable to create an argument without resorting to outright falsehoods.

I remember that, what kind of shocked me at the time was the amount of lying reactionaries, this bb manages to attract. It is a Che Guevara site duh no?
Thanks Vox for the information. If you did not call him a liar,I sure did, and more.

I'm glad someone else is interested in this. I thought that the coup was pretty big news, myself, especially considering the NED seems to have backed it. I think I've posted about that here before.

I'm not surprised by the number of reactionaries, but I'm sometimes surprised at how well they are tolerated.

thanx vox, and you're right about the right wing. I am particularly interested in Latin America, and for all my reading, im yet to see a right winger actually call a spade a spade.

Interesting. I think many of us let too many factual errors from the Right like this one slip by, because we aren't aware of the truth.

The main reason why the media is antichavez It's because all of the stations apcept the one owned by the state are owned by american or anti revolutionary groups.Great article vox!
