That is one of the BEST sites on Anarchism. It answers just about every question. It is hands down one of the best explanations of an economic system I've read. Really lengthy though.

The only rule in anarchy would be: Do not rule others, or be their master, or be in authority over them, etc.

infoshop.org will have lots of links.

wikipedia has some good basic intros.
also http://flag.blackened.net/daver/anarchism/index.html and the whole flag.blackened site are good.

I think you'll find most anarchists to be either anarcho-syndicalist or anarcho-communist. And Situationists / council communists as having anarchist tendancies.

It's an often misconception that people think anarchists are just terroist and want to seek chaos because they beleive authority and goverment are wrong.

There is another misconception that alot people thing that anarchists are against organisation when in fact where not. We think society should be organised around federations etc.

Anarchy focuses on decentralization, the lack of dogmatic organization, and transition from capitalism to communism without socialism. I myself am partial to the anarcho-syndicalist form of anarchy above all others, yet I do not know how this this system would confront the political aspect of the class struggle (as said by Lenin, te primary struggle and the distiniction from trade unionist policies and socialist policies, claimed in "What is to be Done?").

I blame Proudhon with the poor word choice :)
Because there is what anarchy literally means, then there is what anarchy means as a political movement. Two quite separate things.
Oh well :D

Just for newcomers to anarchy...

Anarchy is totally opposed to terrorism because terrorism is an elite organisation not comrised from the masses, therefore it is not "the masses" so is uncharacteristic of anarchy.

In other words anarchy does not support being represented. The people are the people, not some people in Khaki.

That is an accurate depiction of how the ignorant members of society have viewed the listed organisations.

Since when did the listed 'organisations' of that, became organisations? Anarchy is far from order, in fact, it's just simply more like "disorder", sotto speak - And it's more like ideologies 'he' just listed ;)

Seperate things?
Literal meaning:
Anarchy, An - Archos: without rulers.
How does this differ from the 'political movement' of anarchy?
