On one hand I think you're being too paranoid but on the other, it wouldn't really surprise me if they were. But what can they do? Don't post any personal information and they can't get you.

I'm English so the government have more things to worry about than hunting me down. I suppose I could be considered active if you count putting up posters! Anyway, if you get arrested just accuse them of being nazis because they won't let you stand up for what you believe in. As for the ability for them to act on it i am uncertain. As far as i know this site is under international or information laws so a government cant touch us if we dont harm them finacially or physically.

I'm sure we are being watched. There are always people at nearby college campuses handing out socialist pamphlets and anti-war things..etc... generally very anti-us anti-government type stuff. Anyway, they try and get a lot of your personal information and stuff, all I can say is don't give them anything that's true. They're usually FBI and CIA people trying to get files on people.

The same thing happens at lots of the anti-war demonstrations I go to. That and all of the people that aren't with the press but are taking pictues.

I think the government is more interested in muslims now though. Our ideas were seen as more of a threat when there was still a Soviet Union.

For the reason of government surveillence i always walk through CCTV covered streets with my head down. Imagine the kind of archives they keep on everyone. With ID cards we're screwed. "Oh... on the 25th Mr. Convey bought 300 bottles of vodka in the off-licence. On the 28th he bought 10 lighters, 30 fireworks and 300 candle wicks, how odd..."

I think that they make check in on us every now and then but I don't think they watch us on a regular basis. If they are watchin though... FREE THE FIVE, EXTRADITE POSADA AND END THE EMBARGO!!!

I don't have a doubt in my mind that this site is monitored. I figured that when I registered here. There have been too many cases of people being arrested for simply having links on their sites, (I can't remember the kids name, I think his last name was Austin) that a site like this would garner some attention. I also extend my warmest heartfelt welcome to the shit heads that may be watching over us. And I invite them to attemp pro creation with themselves as well.
I took a little test the other day, that the ACLU gives out on their website. It gives you the percentage possibility of whether or not the FBI, CIA have a file on you. It asks you questions about groups you belong to, events you have attended, etc.. My percentage came out to 97% possibility that I have a file. I guess that would explain why I often get pre-opened mail...
Anyway, I am sure that we are being watched. And if so, well most of the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, etc.. are too stupid to know what they are reading anyway..

Project echelon showes just how much abilitie the world powers (prodominantly US) have to invade our privacy... with the technology at their disposal these days, it would be extremely easy for them to watch or track almost anyone once they know where they are... yet of course, they still cant find osama... probably because they aint searched camp david yet <_<

anywayz, i doubt the government would be interested in watching everyday people go about their everyday lives, yet there would be a line of activity, whether it be political or criminal, whereby once a certain individual arouses enough intrest for them they would watch...

I know that if i ever get arrested for my beliefs and actions then i have a backup plan. I have several trusted supporters who i would entrust with a couple of folders. They could carry on the struggle against tyranny.

I suggest that all of you set up a backup plan if you are removed from activism.
