Regarding Arab Socialism, such as that of Baathist or Nasserites (followers of Jammal AbdulNasser), where does it fit within the whole left-wing theory? Are they, Leninist, Marxist, Maoist, Stalinist, or does it constitute a new catagory in itself?

I think the Arab socialists copied the USSR under Stalin and Khrushchev as much as they could; that was their "model".

It's not really socialism. Baathists are "reformists". They are type of "socialist" like Slobodan Miloshevic was. <_<

Hey, what about the PFLP ??

Arab socialism is a nationalization of oil industries to fund welfare coupled with keynesianism and pan-Arabianism.

Sometimes this involves secular government and sometimes Islamic government.

I heard they have oil industries paying a lot for citizens in Kuwait. Is that true?

I think I saw that on Oprah.
