I've set up a wiki to provide leftist definitions, articles, links and resources for people. I decided to do this because a lot of people have disliked my definitions of particular philosophies; stalinists, for instance, tend not to like my definition of stalinism. So I figured I'd try to start of a collaborative project that would not only serve to create definitions that aren't completeky one sided, but also where the left can create a resource together.. listing parties, websites, and other relevant things.

Anyhow, anyone interested in working on it--even if it's simply to add your own website to it or a definition--please create an account (right now, I have it set up so that anyone can do so). The page is:

Red Wiki (http://www.redapollo.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page)

Hopefully, I'll get some help here.. otherwise people no longer have the right to complain :P

And, just so everyone knows.. I'm relatively new to hosting a wiki.. so it's a learning process for me.

go to www.redwiki.tk (http://www.redwiki.tk) for a shortcut.

Hmm, sounds interesting.

This will be rather hard to write history concerning the Soviet Union....the Stalinists will be difficult about the Stalinist period, you know the purges "that never happened" or the personality cult "that never happened".

well.. I'm hoping if there's a disagreement on a particular subject, then all sides of the argument will be included instead of just rampant deletion and such. We'll see, regardless.

Most of the entries are un-proffesional so I tried professionalizing Marx's and Engels' profiles.

yeah, I've not yet had time to dedicate to that project yet; I'm hoping that eventually, people like you will add to it without my sole dedication.

If one of the mods agreed to it, we should put it straight on revleft, then it can be like the glossary for our site.

I started to clean up the anarchy page, but it needs *alot* of work.

I think that you should nick some stuff off wikipedia. Also you need to publish it more then just on revleft.

Good idea though.

Once there's more on it, I plan on making it known to a wider audience. I want to make sure there are enough leftists out there who view it to counteract any defacing that might happen first.

A wiki is an excellent idea, and a great way to spread information. May I suggest that you take prominent and informative posts from this forum to fill content on the wiki?

I have to say, this is one of the most brilliant ideas that I have seen in a long time.

Come now.. it's a wiki! If you think it'd be useful, by all means put it up there :D

And, this might be a dumb suggestion.. but at least try to let the people who wrote the stuff know it's on there.

This is a really great decision. The Red Apollo site is always very interesting. There is the Red Test, and now the Red Wiki!

Although not sure where the Mutiny thing is going.

Although not sure where the Mutiny thing is going.

Nowhere for another week.. it's been put on hold for other things right now because it requires the most intensive amount of programming and general labor. It'll be.. interesting to see how it works out, in any case.

The wiki is in serious need of Organization and Party pages. Currently, there's one (bye olemarx, i think)--the RCP--and it's in a skeletal state at that. Anyone in any political organization of any kind, please add your organization and its website, etc.! Pretty please? :P That was really my main intention with the wiki in the first place.. a place where leftists can consolidate a list of useful resources together.

Anyhow, for those of you contributing, it seems to be coming along pretty well.
