Note that whatever you find will be rated R, meaning that it won't be as controversial as the original.

Looks very interesting, I will try to rent it.

I always try to find post-Clockwork Orange work of Malcolm Macdowell's.

Also I have heard a lot about Caesar Caligula, apparently, he was a tyrant that died young and had a hidden homosexual lifestyle. Seems interesting to me.

Caligula was totally fucking insane.
It's said that he appointed his horse to the Roman senate.

Oh come on I'm sure that horse was smarter than most of our senators.

Saw the original in San Francisco.

*yawns*

It might have been a good movie with Gore Vidal's script.

Sounds like my kind of movie..It was originally X-Rated! :P
But I doubt it was nearly as controversial as "Fight Club"... to the Capitalists - It not only had dubious content, but it also attacked Corporate America - How more controversial can you be, in a burgeouise world? :o

The Penthouse guy made this film hence the heavy porn influence. IT has its moments but not in my top 50 or even 100. I agree Gore Vidal would have done a better job if allowed to.

Yeah, you're right. Brad Pitt must quake with every pey-check. It's as if Mirimax signed their own death-warrant!
