here i live not too far from the mexican border. when they "illegally" cross they come here. this city is mostly mexican. well i worked picking grapes last year during the summer (around here were cold when its 80 degrees). i liked talking wiht all the ppl there but most of the time when i brought up the US and all teh bad stuff they did, the ppl there usually just looked at each other and changed teh subject.
one day i visited one of teh guys whom i work wiht at his house and told me to cut the crap and stop talking like that unless i want them to be deporded. he told me that most of them have crossed here illegaly and they didnt want to get in trouble with the migra (border patrol).

i was amazed. these ppl are scared to say what tehy wanted to say (freedom of speech [as if]).

i told them they shouldnt be scared, teh gov. isnt gonna kick them out! theyu are, supposibly, letting these ppl stay for a better life here in america.

now all of us know its not true, the US wants them here cuz most of them , if not all, go to work in agriculture. around here its dates, grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, and a lot of stuff.

we all know that white ppl are not gonna go work picking stuff. teh US wants teh "illegals" to stay so they can continue with all the hard stuff taht the white ppl wont do.

now i ask you, do you think this is a violation of our constitutional rights? the ppl here are scared to say what they think about hte US.

The whole closed borders situation is bullshit. All a part of fuckin NAFTA and that great concept of Free trade and Global economy. Sure, capital can pass across the borders with little restriction, but workers crossing?...Oh no, they'll take all our jobs! Oh wait, they pick fruit and clean up the messes we leave in hotels and such. Like you said, what Cracker(I'm one too, so I can use it) wants to do that? I'll tell ya, none of 'em/us. It's these pussy politicians in power who are too afraid to do anything actually progressive.

I don't really think that is a violation because they are not actually being stopped. Also they are not citizens, which doesn't make it right, but its a good excuse.

accually they are being stopped. i mean if you know you cant talk cuz your gonna get kicked, thats something stopping yah, its kinda like intimidation. adn so what if their not citizens? what ever happend to "and justice for all?" dammit!! you know that makes you sound kinda racist.

yes i agree. "NAFTA is gonna make mexico much better" yah right!! better? how? by kicking all the campesinos out of their land?? and killing them of jan 1? thats bull. how is that gonna make it all better?

I'm not fucking racist.

I think looking from it technically(and going from the information you provided), they are not actually being intimitated, they just are intimidated.

You can't let every Tom, Dick and Harry that wants to into the country, it wouldn't really work out economically. I know its different in America, but over here there is a process you have to go through if you want to stay here. There should be.

it would be a ricist comment, but its true. they even show it themselves by letting the "illegals" stay over here. even thought they do say its cuz they want them to have a better life. the ppl here dont want to be kicked out after having to cross the desert or the rio bravo, putting their lives at risk cuz they think its better over here.

it used to be really strict, the whole legalisation thing but when they saw how they got more money from agriculture, they eased up a bit.

its easy now a days. first yoiu have to go to some place and get some shots, take blood test, and sme oher test. next you have to go get your pic taken, then finger prints. it would be great if they did it all at the same time but they make you go back and forth. its really annoying.

yes indeed. its a high risk crossing the desert, rio bravo, rio grande, any one. its really hard, the coyotes and polleros dont help either. there has also been a group of ppl who have gone and killed mexicans crossing the border
