I was recently debating politics with a friend and he called me a Bookchinist. I had heard the name but I didn't know much about him, I looked him up but I really haven't learned much about him, he does sound interesting but I want to know what the people on revolutionaryleft's views on him are?

Bookchin is an anarchist writer. He's extremely eloquent and has a lot of good ideas... I'd much rather be called a Bookchinist than a Leninist or Maoist.

Well, since I started this thread I've found out a lot more about him, his work was apparently very well written, and quite persuasive at times. He lived in America during the cold-war, and he didn't randomly commit suicide by stabbing himself five times in the back then throwing himself off a bridge. I was very glad about that, although he is dead now.

Bookchin is an okay guy and he was one of the few early 20th century Marxist to give a damn about the environment, but he is a reformist.
Confused Bookchin for Bernstein, but I meant the same arguement.
