Now that there are hardly any native american indians left. Now it's ok for them to repeal the law!

Bucyk was a Native of Canada.

That fine piece of legislature was enacted toward Native American Indians, particularly, the Wampanoag's of Massachusettes who were at war with the Massachusettes Bay colonists and which war ended with Metacom's "King Philip" death a year later.

The law hasn't been enforced for years.. But it would be the same if there were laws on the books still banning blacks or women from entering certain public places-- see the point? It's a point of contention and it's the principle.

Actually, if there were only one left it would still matter!

I'm Indian. and there are about 2 million in the US, 1 million in Canada and still some in Latin & Central America and the Chiapas in Mexico.

It was a dead law not enforced anyway but yea, good thing they repealed it.
