Hello.
I'm a recent convert to Marxism. I have to admit that I may be the only person in the entire world who is both sympathetic to Trotsky and Stalin. Because I'm relatively new to the Marxist camp, this contradiction may only reflect my open-mindedness to radical leftism in general. I'm in my mid-20s and a school teacher. I teach US History, World History, and US Government. So far, I have taught such subjects from cold objective facts, devoid of Marxist ideology. I'm currently considering whether or not instituting my own ideology into lesson plans is ethical or not..... :P

Hey.
Oh really? A recent "convert" to Marxism, is it, yes? Hmmm...seems not, but...rather-than-less....interestin'. YOU HAVE MUCH UNTAPPED POWER! No, really. There is no "converting" into Marxism, this ain't no GODDAMN religion, you fuckin' prick! Naw, sorry for the cursing, but I get really upset when people pull those strings of phrases like that. "Converted": I don't like the word, and it makes me SHIVER. Organized religion, my ass. Leftism is not a friggin' gospel. Idiot-cappies compare us'to'RAT!
SYMPATHETIC TO BOTH TROTSKY AND STALIN? *****, PLEASE! Impossible, You gotta have a mental disease, punk, you make me puke! Having sympathety to ANY of them is a waste of TIME! Their "socialism" could eat my hairy smell SHIT on, for giving us such a bad name! Trotsky was a soap-cookin' socialist who just sat around writing and bein' the progressive invidual he is, at the corner of the party, making "permant revolution"-boleshit spoutin' and screaming for war, but got an ICEPICK, hoe! And he made that crazy stuff of shooting those who flee from battle, inhuman bastard! No regard for comrades sent STRAIGHT to the bullets, even 'tho it was NECESSARY. And don't even GET me started about SCHTALIN, he's just as worse, that prick, but I'm sure Trotsky would've done the same if he had won the "power fight"-struggle.
*calms down*
Okay, okay, offended by me? FINE. I don't give a shit. Fuck me. I reserve you all right to blame for this raging anger, but it's for a DAMN good reason, with all the bullshit of humanity. Back to you: Open-mindness is cool. I totally support, no matter what ideology your ASS have. I used to be a titoist because he was an independant communist, but later went to Council Communism thanks to ENCEPHALON over there.
You're ass COULD'VE sneaked in Marxist ideologies into your lessons plans for that matter but try to keep it as objective as possible which is demanded by a teacher. If Communism in their lessons makes them want to become Communists themselves, or atleast lefties...well, then, good(ie) on ye! The pro-Capitalist teachers use pro-Capitalistic propaganda in their lessons nevertheless, but you should not go down to that level, now do you? They are afraid of their kids becomin' revolutionaries..... Also, avoid being too direct...especially on how easy it's to criticize the U.S. Government! It's just to pick an issue and fire loose! :D
Welcome Comrade Kirof!

Fair enough. My apologies where appropriate. :D

I admire Trotsky's work during the Brest-Litovsk discussions and I don't feel that Stalin's alleged transgressions are worth moaning over considering his circumstances. He was excessive during and after World War II, but I don't feel that is the case before. In fact, I find his opinions and stances more or less admirable before the war. Imperfect, I will admit...but admirable, nonetheless.
Their "socialism" could eat my hairy smell SHIT on, for giving us such a bad name!
Well I don't think we can quite blame our elders for the mistakes of contemporaries. I mean, there are Marxists who do offer "hairy smelly shit" and I don't think that does quite well for our image either.

Without Trotskyist thought, leftist becomes Phish music water cooler discussion. If one is to believe in Marxism, then one should take it rather seriously, no?
And don't even GET me started about SCHTALIN, he's just as worse, that prick, but I'm sure Trotsky would've done the same if he had won the "power fight"-struggle.
Perhaps, but he would have been right to do so.

I can sympathize. I disagree with your initial anger and your opinions on Trotsky and Stalin but I will be the first to remind that I'm a recent convert and I'm sure there are tons of people on this board more experience and who have taken more time to think things through about Marxism, et al than me, and I'm simply here to discuss theory and help form my own opinion.
Not only do I not claim to be correct, I assume I'm incorrect. I can only flesh out my final opinion by discussing things with others, I feel. I'll be the first to admit my own ignorance, no one needs to point it out....

Welcome Comrade Kirof!
Thank you, comrade. I will earn my Party Chair one day, but for now, I feel fine being humbled for the purpose of fleshing out my own opinion.
