He's making a point about "traitors" in the USSR not about who you want to die.

And this was the law that saw nearly 900,000 Soviets executed between the 1920s and 1950s?

A law that isn't accepted amounts to nothing. A law that limits free thinking means nothing.

Don't think so.
And if he had, be sure that Fidel understood his mistake.

fidel said that Gorbachev was unaware to the fact that he is destroying socialism but his intentions were good.

The greatest traitor to communist was Stalin. Nothing should be done to them, the USSR was disgusting, fascist place. Any person that wanted to change society there isn't a traitor.

Well, isn't it clear that Fidel didn't support Gorbachev by saying this?

According to your logic, a socialist who betrays socialism, wishing to be a capitalist isn't a traitor. You think in the wrong way!
These men destroyed the socialist state, they betrayed Marx and Lenin......they deserve to be in hell.

What about Bill Clinton? He supported the Israelis, bombed Afghanistan, supported Columbia, attacked Iraq, attacked Yugoslavia, and attacked Somalia to name a few. He did everything Bush is doing but because he was a democrat nobody complains. Is it just me or are some of you heavily influenced by American party politics? Like good old Ralph Nader said There's no difference between the Republicans and Democrats, just different lies to get the votes of different people.

Unfortunately, Fidel didn't know how hypocritical Gorbachev was.
