Hi. I'm 16 and I live in the UK.
Having read Orwell's 1984, I realised what a sham capitalism, and the whole government system is. Since then, my eyes have gradually opened to the abuse, intolerance, and general ignorance that is rife in the West.
I chanced upon this site, seeing a link to it from RedApollo.
I hope I can settle in, and talk to others who share my beliefs.

Why didn't you just join the RedApollo forum, while you were at it? It was open for use! And we were looking for a staff, too ;)
Oh well. Yo-ho, Comrade! :D

'sheep, if I told you that, then the Nazis would get me, now wouldn't they!
j/k, I live down in 'sunny' Devon. Still hate it, though.
1984 may well be anti-Stalinist, but that's not what caught my attention. I neglected to mention that directly after 1984, I read Huxley's Brave New World. Those books (and others) woke me up to the left. Before my 'enlightenment' (about a year and a half ago) I just thought capitalists were fatcats, communists were Russians, anarchists were punks, and governments were for the good of the people.
