I got 2 very right wing friends of mine to take the test.
They answerd very clearly in favour of right wing government and came out left from centre.
That thing is shit

It is a load of balls. Those results on my signature are about the 5th time I've done it and I'm getting more authoritarian apparently.
Which is balls.
More economically communist though.
Which is not balls.

I'm tired of the political compass. Stop trying to be -10 -10 to show it to your comrades and gain reputation here!
And please, those who are politically stupid, please stop saying thing like "so I'm close to the Dalaim Lama after all"!

I think it is probably bollux, i mean rice's authoratarian rating was only 0.41, that's insane.

Yeah, sometimes its a little odd (Stalin being so far left after all), but I like the idea of adding the authoritarian and libertarian axis.

Perhaps some of you don't understand the nature of the questions? Not mention some people may not understand their own beliefs, and thus label it inaccurately.
I have taken the test maybe 5 or 6 times over the last few years, and as my beliefs have developed, so has my 'score'.
But indeed the test in not an authoritative indicator of one's beliefs, but it holds some bearing as the most indepth and accurate political test.
It's just some fun though. It doesn't hold much as compared to political action.

I scored not far from Stalin himself. I am for a strong government and a strong economy run by people fro government that know what they are doing. I am in support of former CCCP(USSR). They just needed some small changes.

I am from CCCP and I know what its about. I am for having a government that can control people. If you dont control people then there is no country or anything. People self control them selfs until they pass the line and government steps in to help them out.

That is communism. I am a communist brench that is called leninism. Show me where pure communism worked? Would you like to live in a country where you fight for your life? Would you like to have no technology because there is nobody to lead and do something? I know you dont want that! You are sitting behind a computer typing which means you love this tech that comes from countries that have a government that has power and people that have power. Did comupters come from countries where there is anarchy? NEVER!

I hope you don't get banned, this stuff is great!

Unfortunately, if your 'branch' does not advocate a stateless society it cannot accurately be called 'communist'. Advocating a centralised dictatorship would make you a stalinist (and at least some stalinists pretend like they want communism!), or if you prefer, an authoritarian socialist. Either way, you're not a 'communist', and mostly like not anti-capitalist either, you support a state-capitalist system i assume?

Pure communism hasn't been tried on a massive scale. Leninism... well, that's a different story.

Oh dear...
It would appear you are a fully-fledged socialist (in the sense of wanting a state). You are by no means a communist: this would imply you want to "withering away" of the state, but your clear want for a strong state, and of one that will forever remain, indicates you are not communist.
And "anarchy" in Somalia? Looks like you are using capitalist definitions there.
Somalia is ruled by warlords: there is clearly hierarchy and thus by no means anarchistic.
No offence, but it would be best if you actually do some research on political terminology before you go around commenting on it.

I see "authoritarian" as a confusing measure and this is partially why I find fault with the political compass.
Fundamentally, the economic and social aspects are interlaced as economics IS a facet of social interaction. This is my major criticism of the PC and why I have developed my own chart.

You mean like a monarchy? That's a government that controls it's citizens.
How about a government that can control the economey, and a people that can control the government. Tsk Tsk.

Leninism faciliated this "coup", if Leninism hadn't been used, and Communism was... then perhaps you could wouldn't have these power plays by politicians which gain them the dictator seat.
