Gennady Zyuganov’s article which is a part of his new book "Globalization and the Destinies of Mankind" takes up a whole page of the newspaper. The third world war is flaring up on our planet, asserts the author. With the advent of globalism the cold war began gradually but rather rapidly to warm up. The creators of the "new world order" try to attain a number of objectives. They want to set up a "pyramid of subordination" with the United States at the top and the third world countries, Russia and the post-Soviet republics among them, forming the base of this structure.
Other steps in this process are: to establish a supranational structure of power under US control; to take possession of all sources of energy and raw materials in the world and to rout militarily the countries that would try to defend their national interests; to firmly control information currents; to impose on the world it's own system of values and to suppress those that resist as terrorists; to block Russia once and for all as a force that could oppose such plans; to prevent any future geopolitical and national renaissance of the post-Soviet area.
The difference between violent and non-violent methods becomes vague in the era of globalization. A large-scale financial speculation can kill off more people than an atomic bombing. The author cites the words which the outstanding Russian philosopher Alexander Zinoviev heard from a well-known cold war adherent: we’ll exterminate you, the Russians. But we’ll do that by humane methods.
