Communist Analysis of Literature

This thread is based on something i did once in English. You were given some prose and you were asked to look at it and analyse it from a certain viewpoint (the ones we had were Marxist, Feminist, Conservative and Religious).

This gave me an idea. Why not have a thread where we discuss classic literature, seeing it from the communist point of view?

That is a good idea. I had a class like that too and i loved it. I actually did a 10 page report on Fear of Flying and whether or not i believed it was a feminist work. I combined a marxist and feminist analysis.

I never read a book from conserative or religious analysis. Never discussed that in class.
