Funny, how Colin Powell (who knows more about millitary tactics more than Dubya knows his time tables) is the only one who Bush hasn't consulted for the Iraq issue.

Its because Colin Powell is in favour of sending UN inspectors to Iraq (something Sadaam Hussein himself APPROVED) instead of being an absolute barbarian and attacking Iraq for no apparent reason. Obviously, since the war in Afghanistan brought him so much popularity after Sept. 11th, he now lusts for war because he sees that it makes people flock behind him and become blindly conformist.

The good thing is that this dumb move is apparently turning everyone against him. The EU is strongly criticizing him, the arab nations are completely against the U.S. agression and even the Vatican is speaking out against Bush.

Yeah I've noticed that too, dumb Bush, he has got to have some kind of condition.

What do you think about the Vatican speaking out? I personally do not like it one bit, they Vatican is an archaic piece of non-secularised power and It's pissing my off that they are dragging everyone back to non-secularism

Well, also consider that Bush has to try and convince the American Public that the war is needed. I believe that months after Sept 11th, something like 70% supported the war. Now it's something like 40%. And the Vice President is on the TV constantly campaining for American support of this military action. By and large, there are more important issues for the government to be concerned about.

I suppose that it's partly for revenge for daddy, and partly in hopes of gaining even more support. However as the poles show, his support from Americans and allies is actually slipping, so the whole thing may backfire in his face.

if you ask me bush is trying to get sadam only because he want that the americans will forget about bin laden.

As horrific as it would be for the american people, I would love to see it thrown back in Bush's face, with proper public humiliation and everything, but he'd probably get away quite lightly, apart form in the history books. It's all the soldiers and Iraqi civilians that I'm worried about.

Thats definitely one of the reasons because he has been a failure in capturing Bin-Laden. But I still think the bigger reason is that he has more of a subliminaly dictatorial power over the public during wars.

Canada and South Africa are the latest to speak out against Dubya. Looks like this is backfiring at him. The only good thing that would come out of the war is that nobody but ultra-nationalistic fanatics will vote for this fucking butcher again.
