Well I don't know the full story, but I noticed on the front page of the Torygraph that Blair's said he and Bush are going to take military action against Hussein whether the UN agree or not. Fucking idiot is what i say!

This is a bit strong from what i have previous read from Mentalbunny.

My politics teature is making me read the Torygraph, says we should get a balanced opinion by reading a newspaper that opposes our views. The Americans actually like Blair now, they see him as their perfect bum buddy

I think the torygraph is pretty anti-bush, I read another article a while back that practically screamed "we are anti-bush".

For objectivity, try the Guardian. They are a bit of a leftist news paper, but they do criticise where criticism is due (not just the right), they also run articles side by side that are biased towards each side of an arguement and put across both side's points of view.
I think it is the last bastion of objective journalism left in the UK (out of the main news papers anyway).

Personally I choose The Independent for objectivism. And the Torygraph is only pro-American is so far as it's anti-foreigners. Americans get lighter treatment cos they speak the same language as us. My parents read that pile of stinking shit daily...

I am more of an Independent reader, however, if I can't get my hands on one then the Guardian is the next best thing. I suppose they are the only two british papers worth reading as they offer very balanced and objective views.

I think the reason is because the war is pretty much over now. And I imagine, that if Iraq is invaded, Saddam is overthrown and/or killed, and the war finishes in Iraq, most people will stop complaining about war in Iraq.

And how come no one is demanding reperations from Mongolia for the murderous, imperialist acts of Ghengis Kahn?

I can't remember where I saw it, but one time I was looking through a book or webpage and it had examples of Nazi propaganda made for the Allies in WW2. It proclaimed the disgusting, inhumane acts of allied planes bombing Nazi-occupied Europe, and how many innocent Europeans where killed in these allied bombing raids. It said that the Nazi's desired peace and wanted to end the war and look for a peaceful solution, of course they would still control Europe though. So, how come no one here proclaims their disgust for the allied-bombing raids on Nazi-occupied Europe which killed thousands of innocent people? How many people agree with the propaganda and wish we would have worked for a peaceful co-existence with the Nazi's? Imagine all the lives that would have been saved had the allies not dropped bombs on Nazi-occupied Europe.

I hope some of you are intelligent enough to catch my sarcasm and apply it to the current political scene.

Actually, the IRA have in the past bent to the will of the IRA. It was because of the US taking a stand against "international terrorism" after Sept 11 that the IRA began decomissioning.

I have to admit though I think it'd be interesting to see how a member of the IRA would run the UK.
