I go to a kind of college (a cegep) where I study in administration. It's paradoxical that I study in administration because I'm anti-capitalist, but it's okay because I learn a lot about how capitalism works (or doesn't work, if you prefer).

Anyway, I have a work to do in a class where we learn about becoming an entrepreneur: I have to explore a business idea. That means that I have to find a business idea and write why it would interest me, what it would take(knowledge, investment, staff) and what the future perspectives are.

I'd like to find a business that would be unselfish. I thought about doing a coopérative(I don't know the translation in english). The coopérative is "owned" by a group of people(members) and they never make profits (they low the prices so they don't make profits). A coopérative would be a good idea, but I don't know what it would sell or what it would do.

Please let me know if you have any idea. I have to give the work this Friday(13th september) so I'll probably begin it this Wednesday. Thanks.

I'm guessing your french, well it could be a wone cooperative, like you have, or just a supermarket. it could be clothes, make them yoursleves, or buy them cheap from manufacturers and sell them on cheap.

I don't really have many ideas about non-profit organisations, sorry. I'm sure someone will have a great idea.

Abientot!

Go for enviromentally friendly industry if you must do something like this.
A business making solar heated water cylinders, solar powered showers, wind turbine lighting, organic pest control, composting systems or something like that. There's heaps or stuff online if you search you should find products that aren't patented that you could use yourself.
