View Full Version : Equality?

First of all, don't get me wrong here, I'm a Socilaist, but I do have a gripe about this board. It's a great board and has a vast resources of knowledge but I do find it to be a somewhat paradox.

For a board/group of people who preach for equality so freely, there happens to be some sort of a hierarchy right among you/amongst us.

Yes, I'm talking about the Commie Club.

By segregating the "Best Commies" in such a way from the rest you, the Admin team, are being extremely elitist.

Why have such a 'club' if we're all so equal?

I just think that it's something we should all consider...

Cheers,
AO.

The Commie Club is nothing more then a administration forum of the board.

You can not compare the runing of a forum to a socialist society.

Yeah.

I'm a Commie Club member, but i'm no "Best Commie".

This is a forum, you see. And forums need people to run the group. There is no elitism, you just have to prove you are a leftist (so we dont let Nazis into the CC) and that you are fairly active (how many posts you've made).

People in the "CC" me thinkesth, to what I have seen of Commie-Club members, is that they are not treated else-like than other non-Club members of the site, so that, it's still equal. You just "got a say" in things, and everyone is equally admittable to the group (it's an "open-power" group, sort of, from what I gather) and even if I am not in it yet, I don't feel less powerful than "them". Aslong as they fullfill the "equal-for-everyone" conditions, they're ready to go. So it's HARDLY a paradox, it's more like, shall we say, "Council Communism", if you get my drift :)

It's a pretty progressive system for a message board :D

Welcome to the board. Since you're new here, I just figured I'd say hi.

I can't say that I do.

I'm not in it, but actually it seems like quite a good way of running the board.

The point of this thread is not to bash Stalin even if I do agree, so knock it off, will ya? 'Sides, signing/accepting a cease-fire with the Nazies is no signs of "sleeping over with enemy" (i.e. Hitler) but more as a very wise action in times of high National-Socialist strength, of course - Aslong as it lasted, they knew it wouldn't, so they obviously prepared for a soon breaking as the Germans 'were done' with their Blitzkrieg in western Europe :)

We're all equal, just some are more equal than others :P

Maybe we should have a sticky for this issue, it does seem to come up irritatingly regularly...

1936 (world's first elmoist) doesn't even know how to use the term fascist correctly, he's even admitted it:

When i say fascist i dont mean the correct termonology of Fascism, as in the teachings of mousilini.

I just mean tyrant, oppresser and what not.

He simply has problems with rice because rice made fun of him for his learning disability.

99% of Commie Club business is simply a matter of deciding who is, and who is not, allowed to join the Commie Club, rather like the Freemasons.

The remaining 1% isn't so much fun either.

Some folks might call this "elitist", but it's more of a practical measure really. And don't forget that this is a message board, not some Anarchist Utopia.

And when i called Stalin a fascist i knew very well the true defintion of the teachings of mousilini and i still stick to my claim that stalin met these definitions

That quote wasnt from a topic wasnt even about stalin, but a fascist in the definiton of how it is freely used to describe oppressers of all varietys.

why do you keep asserting this is Rice when i've told you numerous times it is not?

You, and others like you, don't really understand what fascism is and you banned two "stalinists" who probably do much more than you to fight actual fascism in real life. Secondly, you use fascism (note the lower case f) as a political cussword. This isn't acceptable. It's about as accuriate and intelligent as the right using "communist" to describe democrats.

Rice (who you claim to know personally...) is very clearly a person who dosent believe in peoples rights.
