Eh, gearing up to a/THE (if you are a "believerer" in determinism) revolution, are ye? Like uh, rippin' off the way of the "Spanish Revolution" to copy-cat it to yer country? Might not work, and it might not be the same conditions as 'rere, 'no, nevertheless? Anyho' - the 'revolution' of Espania was more like of a 'civil uprising' than anything...and not really a REAL organized-revolution, even though there were some.....so that so! Not a long lasting one, either, heh, meh 'spose ;)

I would add to that list "To make the people smile again" by George Wheeler? If my memory serves me correctly. This is a terrific first hand account of a volunteer in the international brigades - a broad leftist group made up of disparate nationalities who went to Spain (mainly off their own backs) to fight Fascism.

They were poorly armed and lacked basic military organization and support - unlike their Nazi backed foe, yet they went and fought bravley in a foreign land, many were captured or killed in vain but the diary is often humorous - the international brigade had great camaraderie if nothing else.

Revolution and Counter Revolution in Spain (http://marxists.org/archive/morrow-felix/1938/revolution-spain/index.htm)

Trotsky on the Spanish Revolution (http://marxists.org/archive/trotsky/works/spain/index.htm)

The last article on the Trotsky link deals was written during the civil war. I find this article the most intresting. The rest are about the early 1930 revolutionary movements in Spain.

Workers Solidarity Movement also have a huge site about the Spanish Revolution.

The pdf file Spanish CIvil War: Anarchism in Action is a good phamplet on the subject.

I recommend George orwell's Homage to Catalonia, I'm reading it at the moment and it's superbly written, as well as being very informative.
