Alright, I'm american, lemme just point that out right now. I don't like the fact that my country has done so many horrible things to everyone. 9/11 is coming up and I don't know whether I should be in sorrow about it or just keep to myself in everything that has happen. It's odd though, you would think that I would hate anyone that isn't American. But actually, one of my best friends is Palestinian and we get along great. Sure, we talk about things that go on and he has a different attitude toward America. He hates it actually. I still care for him like a brother and I respect his oponion because that's how he treats me. I don't really care for America, I want to live in Brazil, but I never sat down and realized how other people feel on the subject of America. I don't want to hold on to CNN's word or what Americans have to say, I want to get the whole point of view of everyone. So, express yourself. Go all out, that's what I want. I wont be offended, it's your oponion so feel free to say whatever....

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about the US is the arrogance and hypocracy.
I could rant about a thousand and one different things that I hate, but arrogance and hypocracy probably cover about 95% of the little reasons.

I can't agree more with pinko or kalashnikov. the arrogance is the thing i hate the most by far but it's far from the only problem

USA imperalism has proven to be sneaking and deadly. I want the USA to get out of Puerto Rico and allow a transition to independence.

"it is not 01/9/11 its 11/09/01 damnit...... "
The american system would be 09/11/01 not 01/09/11...
i agree with you tho. it should be, and is, 11/09/01

*The way it keeps polluting and exploiting the world like no other country. Even by looking in my rather neutral school books the figures are horrid. The average american used something like twice as much water as a norwegian, ate at least 20 times more meat than an indian (rearing meat is a very very irrational use of corn), burned almost twice as much oil and the likes as a norwegian (and we're "the" oil-country)...those are what i remember, it could be more. "Multi-national companies" exploit the 3. world to make huge profits. They refuse to join any real environmental protection. To quote Bushy senior: "we will not sacrifice the american way of life". IT MAKES ME SICK
*The way american mainstream culture and imperialism corrupts cultures around the world. Their culture and cappyism has been integrated in a "wonderful" way, to make them their lackeys.
In the past, america was the colony of the british empire. Now great britain, and most of the rest of the world, are more or less colonies of america, with the same decadent culture.

The way America forces itself, its culture, and its idea of civilisation on the world.

basically what every one else has said, with special reference to the arrogance and the pollution

I dont think people should be going on, ranting about how much they feel America is corrupt, its pollicies are infernal. You say these things with no actual proof of this being. Its easy to talk, but its hard to back it up. Plus, America should not be the only country targeted by your hate, look where you are, or look at another country. Their Polotics have screwed us all over too, in many ways worse than what the U.S has done over their high rule. We all have our demons..... Its what fuels this world.

Other countries have done the scewing in the past, epecially Europe. But it is mostly the US that is doing the screwing now. Oh, I admit the my country (UK) is helping with the screwing, but the US is the one that is doing the most. It is the one holding back environmental repair, it is the one benefitting most from the exploitation of the developing world, it is the one that has an administration that bows to the corporations that funded its election camaigns. The rest of the world has its flaws, but the US seems to be the epitomé of everything bad. It does what the rest of the world does and then takes it to an extreme. Yeah, Britain has done some really fucked up things in its time, but the US is the clear and pressent danger to the world, it is a rouge state, with its fuck-the-rest-of-the-world-we-do-what-we-want attitude.
The US is worse than most dictatorships and failed communist regimes when it comes to lying to its people.
Before you come here defending the US, find out some facts. We are not mindless USA bashing morons (well, most of us aren't anyway). I would be one of the first to correct aomeone if they falsely accused the US of something, most of us have formed this opinion by finding out the truth of the matter and comming to an informed conclusion. Most of us are interested in nothing but the reality of what is going on. Quite frankly, I am pissed of with my country about as much as I am pissed off at the US.
As for proof? Look around this site, there are links everywhere to news articles outside of the puppet media, where unbiased reporting is the order of the day.

Most everything we quote here can be backed up, be careful what you are preaching in ignorance. I don't blame you, after all, you have 'wonderful' news sources like Fox News and CNN to help.

Yes, the U.S. Government has done a lot of fucked up shit, a lot of fucked up shit. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna abandon it. Not gonna just say fuck it and move to some other country. And don't think all it's citizens are ignorant and dumb (although many, many are).
But as Nixsenx said, it's not just the U.S. thats ruining the world, many many State gov'ts are fucking over their people. Yes, the U.S. does have their hands in many places they shouldn't, but the leaderships of almost every State could use a working over, if ya know what I mean.

Americans in general - those that I've met, and I could, of course, be completely wrong - seem to have a complete disregard for anything outside America.
"Australia? Did they fight with us in Vietnam or something?"

Thats fairly accurate. Many are very ignorant of anything that goes on outside of their immediate lives, most know somethings happening, but are too caught up in gaining material things to care.
(I know this is petty but, use 'U.S.' when describing it, not 'America,' technically America designates south, central, and north america.)
