Charges Dropped

[Paradox]

The charges were dropped against Lopez Obrador, read it in today's paper. Article said that the crime with which Obrador had been charged had no penalities, therefore they dropped the charges. It also said that large demonstrations in support of Obrador had an effect. The article described Obrador as a "firey leftist," but I don't know much about him and whether this claim is true. Anyone know more about him or have any links I can check out? Thanks.

Oh, and in case you don't know, Obrador is the most popular presidential candidate for next year's election in Mexico.
