I finally saw Kung-Fu Hustle this weekend, and I was thrilled with it. That may be due to my personal experience and love for martial-arts, so I am asking your opinions on the movie.
"Why arent you speaking in Chinese?"

I watched the Chinese version of it and i swear to god thats the funniest thing I've ever saw!
But im afraid many things would be lost in translation and its hard for westerners to understand a considerable portion of it.
I think to fix that the translators have to make changes to the lines---they do that often with foreign movies.
but i dont know if i considered it thrilling... Its funny and thats all i remember. the plot is silly and there isnt much to it. Its mostly an interesting experienment combining Kung Fu movies with comic relief and stuff...

Yeah, and that beggar at the end is seen with the snot-nosed little kid. Great movie, with some dark humor, which i can never get enough of. Loved it.

lol I grow up watching Steven Chow's movies...I cant imagine my childhood without his dark humour!
a little "insider" rumor: Steven Chow tried to immigrate to Canada but was rejected by the Canadian government. Rumors suggest its because of Chow's participation in the Hong Kong mafia in his youth...
