The whole united Europe is designed for the large companies and the elite, the proletariat and anybody who isnt running a big company is getting ripped off by it. The Euro is a great example of this, many people in the Netherlands end up paying 2 times as much for products before we had the Euro...
Also this consitution wants us to change our drug policy...FUCK THAT!

I haven't read the full text now, but it's main thesis seems to be that "the new European Constitution is not a step toward a stronger Europe, but will actually lessen European influence on the world stage.", but I don't know if that is true at all. I can say that from a European, leftist perspective this criticism seems pretty strange, because the militarism (the constitution obligates all EU member states to rearm!), the obvious imperialist ambitions which the constitution includes, just ARE one of the major points of criticism, beside the neo-liberal policies which it includes. To say that the constitution is bad because Europe could LOSE in the imperialist competion is totally pointless for us as socialists IMO.
Leftist criticism of the EU constitution from a European, leftist perspective:

In all honesty, when you're looking for criticisms from the SWP and CPI thinks are going down hill.
