what ever happened to old labour? it was our last successful left wing party! now we have 2 shitty conservative parties run by monkeys all fighting for the same thing! and what ever happened to listening to the people? thats what our government is meant to represent. we should have a system where for a law to pass, the people can have an oppertunity to vote (go to their town hall or something) that way, we can help prevent mr cock up blair from cocking up

If you vote i would vote Green Party. If they get some MP's then they'll bring up some issues in Parliament that the other parties are too scared of.

They are both run by monkeys, but are they really both conservative in the full sense of the word?

Basically both parties have the same position on a majority of the issues. Voting in britain is a waste of time as both are the same shit.

I would either vote green or lib dem the greens don't really have much chance of making a lot of change. Respect sounds good also but thier not in my consituanty.

yeah, seems pretty slim pickings.

There are some parties standing in certain constituencies; 'The communist party', 'respect', 'the socialist party' - all fielding candidates in certain places.

But over-all the situation is pretty dire. Don't think the Greens have any concept of class in their program.

I'll vote Labour simply because I really, really don't want to see Michael Howard running the country...

Your sentiments might have more credibility were it not the case that Labour is almost certainly going to win, whatever happens. The Tories are currently 6 points behind in the polls, and falling further, and, anyway, they need to beat Labour by a considerable margin vote-wise for their popularity to translate into a parliamentary majority.

This being the case, the more votes Labout gets, the more unaccountable the government wil remain. The smaller their majority, the greater the power of the backbenchers.

In the current voting system a few floating voters inmarginal seats decide who runs the goverment, it's ridiculous. PR is the only fair system.

As I live in a fairly solid Labour constituency my vote isn't likely to make much difference. That being the case I might be tempted to vote for an independant socialist candidate or a fringe party depending on who's standing in my area. If not, however, Labour it is...

The Socialist Party is contesting upwards of fifteen seats across England and Wales.
They include:
Leicester West, Lewisham Deptford, Walthamstow, Wythenshawe and Sale East, Bootle, Newcastle East and Wallsend, Brighton Kemptown, Bristol North West, Swansea West, Cardiff South and Penarth, Coventry South, Coventry North East, Stoke-on-Trent Central, Sheffield Heeley and Wakefield.

In a few of these seats they are standing against the BNP I urge anyone in these constituancies to vote for them and stand up against facism.
