I was surprised when I went in to see it. The only thing I had heard about it was a few negative things (it was confusing, etc.) so I sort of went in to the theater with a critical outlook. In the first 10 minutes, i was amazed. I won't give anything away, but I thought everything was done perfectly. My friend called it a soft-core porno with killing, but I thought it went far beyond that.
It just by-passed the Boondock Saints as my favorite movie.
Anyone else see this? your thoughts?

It was one of the most artistically directed films I think I have seen in a very long time. It was excellently done! Well acted too...and very dark. I like that in films :)

What made it so bad, in your opinion?

Visually it was incredible, but the dialog was cheesy.

...I'm guessing it's the shameless glorification of grizly acts of mutilation and torture that gets him...or it could be the "strong" heroines, bethonged in glory.
pussy...
But seriously, what does it say about our culture when we can not only sit through (and enjoy) portrayals of the most horrible, violent acts humans are capable of but also actually pay money for the priviledge of watching it?
No idea...but a good flick.

Quite good, I had expected some sort of pornography action thing. But it was of one the best movies that I have seen lately. Loved the style of filming, the acting was good, the story and dialoges even. It even kept it's comic character. My favorite quote:
Senator: "Power doesn't come from a badge or a gun. Power comes from a lie. Lieying big and the whole world playing along with ya. Once you got everyone agreeing with what they know in their hearts ain't true, you got them by the balls."

I loved it.
I can't really fathom entirely want I saw (for various different reasons ;) ), but the fact that my viewing was not passive, in that I had to actually think about what and how what it happening was quite enjoyable and brilliant.
Might post some more thoughts on this later.

That movie was probaly the best thing ever made. Can Jessica Alba be any hotter?
