This is a good example of how America's prison culture seeps into every facet of life here...
High School Plans To Pay Snitches
ROME, Ga. (AP) A high school is looking for a few good snitches. Using revenue from its candy and soda sales, Model High School plans to pay up to $100 for information about thefts and drug or gun possession on campus.
Its not that we feel there are any problems here, said Principal Glenn White. Its a proactive move for getting information that will help deter any sort of illegal activity.
Under the new policy, a student would receive $10 for information about a theft on campus, $25 or $50 for information about drug possession, and $100 for information about gun possession or other serious felonies.

No word yet on what they'll pay some kid for tipping off officials that there are commies on campus.

We have a system like that in our school....
.....it doesn't work; everyone knows who the drugs dealers are; and they're out there, dealing it all the time, same goes with the stoners.....

Most critic-worthy. That makes people get the idea that they're more deserving to be rich because they get paid for racking down on people who own guns or drugs. I don't mind stopping the theft, but imagine: It doesn't say SELLING DRUGS. But OWNING DRUGS. Or GUNS. Sure SELLING drugs on a school is considered bed, but bringing it to school or just plainly possesing it? Or a gun for that sake. Perhaps it would be bad to bring it at school, so...but if they have one at home, would they get "squeeled" at then? Or perhaps someone "placing" evidence of a "theft", with their name on in someone else's locker for a quick gain. No, they should instead do the job themselves instead of hiring students as some kind of bounty hunter-opportunistis! But get the drug-dealers, not the stoners. OH, AND: LEEEEGALIZE IT!
"Informants will not receive the reward if they are involved in the crime."-White.
Isn't that a bit unfair? ;)

If im wrong correct me because i havent been to America, but isnt it a health risk to NOT take a gun into school there?

You might need a gun to ward off all the bullshit, just in case. Not literally shooting, but imagining in your head that you do helps on your psyche - You're going to need it ;)

I go to school in America, and this shit is getting dangerous. I want to move to Canada, where there arent fucking idiots running around in gangs, or crooked cops shooting down people in "Self-Defense".

Down with the "security" system on having to write down exact time stamps and where you was and what you did when and how. That's total bullshit. Does that prevent anything, let alone gun-wielding psychos? Ooh, you have an unarmed security guard and a metal detector. Big deal. Now, show us how to stop anyone from TAKING AN SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE AND BURSTING THE HELL OUT OF YOUR SCHOOL. Bah.....
