he has a good voice, and their music definatly has quality, even tough i dont listen to them generally.. its very good, and bono does a lot of charity stuff, so doesnt really have anything against them.

Yeah the Rollins stuff is great as is the stuff that Negativeland did. Paranoid Visions also did some good anti-U2 stuff.

I mentioned Paranoid Visions earlier, here's something I came across:

Paranoid Visions were one of the finest, most successful and longest lasting Irish punk bands ever- outlasting every other band of their type (12 years solidly on the road) they reached a level of notoriety surpassed only by the slightly more arty (and successful) Virgin Prunes. Bono is one of the candidates that may recieve the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE! All he does is send a small portion of his millions to charity and spends his time living like a king. It's funny how they choose well-known rich people for this prize and not, say, a member of Doctors Without Borders. It's really just another event commemorating the greatness of the rich and famous.

It's the fallacy of every artist you hate: there's always a few good songs even though you hate to admit it. I hate plenty of artists, and when I hear a song of theirs I like I go, "god damn, why did it have to be just one! god damn, why do they have to suck 99% of the time!"

I'd have to agree with you. Bono IS a fucking twat. But to me at least all of their songs blend together into a boring mush of sound. You can't wait until they stop playing!

Well, the band has some good quality songs and Bono's got good voice too. He's also active in charity stuff, specially in Helpin Africa and other third world countries. So he's a good one i guess.
