I've been listening to some of his stuff recently - he is actually unbelievably funny -
"Fundamentalist Christians believe the world is only 12 000 years old. So I asked this guy, what about dinosaurs?"
"God put them there to test our faith"
"Dude, I think god put you here to test my faith"

"We always kill the ones who want to help us, and let the devils run amok. Jesus - murdered, Ghandi - murdered, Lennon - murdered, Reagan...wounded. Bad choice, okay?"

RIP Bill, we miss ya.

Bill Hicks was the man. I was gonna recall a favourite joke, but there's too many.

I wanted to see if cappies didn't like him :P

Nice to see the site is up and running again BTW - I've been spending a lot of time on E-G.

* Hears booing and hissing from crowd :D *

Personally I think so long as capitalist posters can debate civilly and not act like trolls they should be given freedom to post under other threads.

Just a thought :D

Back to Bill, the man kicks ass - greatest American comedian ever as far as I'm concerned.

Fundies believe the world is 6,000 years old not 12,000.

Yeah, funny guy. What'd he say about Koresh...."heavily armed, egomaniac musician with a messiah complex. Sounds like most of my friends in Austin."

I thought the way he did a comedy routine outside Waco - while an armed seige was taking place - was really risque. I mean could you see a comedian do one now, like with the Moscow theatre siege?

Some funny jokes though,

'What do you think's going on in there Bill?"
"Uh....probably a lot of scrabble, monopoly, risk maybe.....just like any normal American family"
"What about the rumours that they're mixing bible classes with ammunition training?"
".....just like any normal American family" :D

"Some call it a cult, others say it was just a slumber party that got out of hand" :P

Is it true he was on acid while he was reporting from Waco?
