For some time I have been thinking of joining YFIS. The only thing I want to know is if it is worthwhile. So is anyone else a part of it?

Well, do they actually do anything? Do you agree with them politically enough to dedicate time to it, or do you think you will be a "paper member"? Those are a few questions to ask before joining any group...but there are plently of others.

As far as youth groups go, they're supposed to be pretty good. They organized the national student union in spain, did they not?

Im a member, so i'd obviously encourage you to join.

But, as with any organisation, you should look at the organisation, theory, programme, traditions and see if to you they are correct.

If some aspects you dont agree with, you should get in contact and discuss and question any points.

Where you from?

I live in Northern New Jersey right now. What I want to know is if YFIS has any local protests here and any discussion groups around. I couldn't find any info about this on newyouth.com

The first thing your ought to know about YFIS is that we are a vanguard, so not everone who can get in, make sure you agree with the program. Secondly, we aren't Che lovers, were not against him, but we don't believe Guerilla Warfare is a Marxist, especially not a Leninist, way to socialism. Be sure you know this stuff before you join. If you do, I wish you a welcome, comrade.

I'm not sure, I'm the lone Montana communist, I tried a unionization effort but I was fired for it.

We work a lot within the Labor movement, attempt to appeal to the CLASS not the political parts of society. We have organized the Student Union in Spain, or so I hear.

We are working on the social change, via the advanced proletariat, and we are organizing. If your interested in waving flags around and shouting slogans on street corners, which I doubt, I would doubt this is for you, we are very dedicated to Socialism and work for it and we put most of our energy and resources into change.

Please, if you agree with the FAQs, programme and are ready to really bring chang, join us.
