That's just ridiculous. What's this about health insurance though? No company I've worked with has tried to sell me health insurance. Is it an American thing?

In the US they believe in Public Services so they don't have any kind of NHS, they therefore have Health Insurance, although most of them don't becuase they can't afford it.

Yeah. Since there's no national health system in the U.S., medical insurance is a common job benefit. Often you have to pay part of the cost.

I read that a while ago. IT's fucking silly, if the bosses only care about whether or not something affects his slaves ON THE JOB, then what does it matter if a person smokes this or that outside of the work place?
