Do you think conservatism and anarchy are similar? Both are for smaller governments...but then again i might be wrong, i dont know a lot about anarchy, besides it calls for no government

No.

"conservatism" and its logical extreme "libertarianism" advocate the elmination of political rule (for the most part), but favour the maintanance, and strengthening, of economic rule.

Anarchists seek the elimination of all forms of oppression, be they economic, political or otherwise.

I suppose there are superficial similarities, but when you truly examine the ideologies you see that they are quite dissimilar.

there are quite a bit of significant differences surrounding anarchists and conservatives.

However, to be put bluntly conservatives actually believe there is to be some purpose of the state which usualyl results in a government that instills conservative values into society, while taking a non-interventionalist role in the economy.

U kidding me? Libertarianism wants a small government, politically and economically. They want a very free market, with little or no restrictions

Actually, rice349 has a point.

Libertarians do indeed favour zero government social intevention.

...but you didn't ask about libertarians, you asked about "conservatives" and conservatives do like to impose "moral values" on their citizenry.

Look at the ridiculous battles in the US over Gay Marriage and that Brain dead woman.

Not really, they are small differences compared to the huge indifferences, anarchism is much closer to marxism than conservatism, or neo librealism

They are very different, Anarchists want to remove Government all together, with people helping eachother, whereas conservatism advocates less government interference, 'let them get on with it' attitude, they favour a 'dog eat dog' society, where their are inevitabley losers.
