I know you may say this should be in movies, but i think the overall cause of my post is better here.

I was talking to my mate (As you do) on MSN. And he presented on hes "display picture" A black and white photo of chap with a shaved head and a tatoo on hes chest with a swasticka. So ofcourse i asked what the fuck a nazi was doing on hes msn picture and he told me the origins of the picture were a movie called American x.

In the movie entails the questionable plot of a nazi in america trying to bring about the suffragation of the black community of America.

To add insult to injury he sent me the song that seems to sum up to movie

My eyes have seen the glory of the trampoling at the zoo. Weve watched ourselves and niggas blow out and all the mongrols too, were taking down the zog machiene jew by jew by jew, the white man marches on

To of wich was made even more offensive and disgusting, the tune was that of "solidarirty forever".

Here is where the practice part comes into my reasoning of this post, i have decided to make a stand against the movie wich details Anti-communist, anti-black, and anti-jewish HIGHLY descriptive content.

Any suggestions how?

American History X is NOT a pro-nazi movie. In fact, it's a movie that portrays the general destructive nature of hate and racism. It follows the life of a neo-nazi through a period where he starts of a stanch supporter of a local nazi party/organization through a prison sentence and then after in his reform, where he returns to his family -- and his legacy of sorts (his younger brother who looks up to him) is going in the same wrong direction.

It is a story, contrary to what you portray, about overcoming that kind of ignorance.

Well first off your lyrics are inaccurate and full of typos... and while this is sung by one of the characters in the movie it is NOT what the movie is trying to portray as proper.

I would suggest you watch the movie first.

It is an amazing movie. I am extremely Anti-Nazi, partially due to the fact the majority of my relatives were killed in Auschwitz. My best friend, who convinced me to watch the movie, is a practicing Jew. This movie tears down the Nazi lifestyle by portraying them as slovenly, fat, ignorant pigs. It doesnt help when Nazis get killed in the movie.

the movie is a great piece of film, and raises some very deep issues. it is not pro-nazi in any way.

i think, and this is for anyone thats seen it, the defining question in the movie was posed by the black teacher dude to derek... 'has any of this made your life any better?'

It is one of the best movies ever made, and I have seen a lot of films. Edward Norton at his best , and considering he has appeared in some of the definitive movies of modern times, that is saying quite a lot.

Another film about Neo-Nazism, which takes a far less bias view (it must be admitted that American History X is pushing an agenda, however agreeable that agenda maybe), allowing the viewer to make their own minds up, is Romper Stomper, staring Russell Crow in his earlier years. This is also a very good film, it does not seek to push any agenda, it tells a story about a group of Australian Neo-Nazis, and the things which happen to them, the film leaves you to draw your own conclusions. Some people have claimed that this film promotes/glorifies Nazism, this is false. It takes a completely neutral view.

I don't agree with that. What about where the cops raid their warehouse and shoot the young kid in the head ? What about the ending ? It obviously wasn't as blatant as American History X, but that movie definitely leaves you with bad feelings for those skinheads.

Fair enough, mate.

What about where the cops raid their warehouse and shoot the young kid in the head ?

But what about Hando's reaction? He has far more compassion than I would have lent the character personally, but I am very bias. It is also important to note that the kid was shot, not because of any malciousness on the part of Hando, but because of an error by the cops.

What about the ending ?

yeah, I see your point, the true hardcore Nazi is killed, and the reformed lovers walk off into the sunset. But I didn't percieve it that way, I thought that Hando went insane and needed to be killed because of that, rather than him being killed because of his Nazi views.

But then again, you cold well be right. I watched the film expecting to see an American History X style film, but I saw Romper Stomper, which was far less overtly bias. So maybe my perspective was scewed, but my impression was that the film lacked any judgmental edge.

I remember seeing another Nazi film, where a group of Nazis rape a woman, the boyfriend then proceeds to disguise himself as a Nazi and infiltrates the group. He then kills the lot of them. Unfortunatly I can't remember the name of the film, I really want too see it again, you haven't heard if it by any chanse?

I love the movie and it was very anti-nazi.

The movie had some tough to swallow scenes though, "bite the curb."

Oh and if you have only seen it on tv try to see it on dvd, because the edited version cuts out some good parts, and I felt no sympathy for the Nazi when he dies, he shouldn't have been a nazi.

Edward Norton is a tremendous actor, he is one of my favorite actors of all time.
