Technically no, at least not what would probably be considered Acadia today. I'm not sure where the French Canadian in me comes from on my mom's side, I do know that on my father's side, which is where I get the micmac from, it it was at one point a marriage of 100% French relative and a 100% Micmac relative, so I can only presume that fell somewhere between the Canadian Maritimes and the lower boundaries down into New England, as of now I'm in Massachusetts. Not sure if you'd still consider any part of the US Acadia, hehe. Not even sure if the Canadian's still consider any portion to be Acadia.

Parts of Nova Scotia, most notably Claire County, and large swaths of New Brunswick are still very distinctly Acadian, with either a peculiar dialect of French or, in New Brunswick in particular, a bastard Franglais called "Chiac" (http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/rejean/acadian.html). Unfortunately, the goddamn schools forced my Dad to learn in English (Oh, colonialism) so I speak boring English as my first language.

Parts of the Eastern Seaboard of the states are distinctly Acadian, but there was, during industrialization, alot of Quebecois immigration to that part of the states too . . . but if you're part Micmac, it's probably safe to bet yr roots are Acadian. Not that it really matters when our culture has been crushed out, haha.

Thats just stupid. I find it very pathetic people when people trying to define what percentage racialy they are.
