The thing wikipedia.org is that EVERYONE has a say in an article, meaning they can add or subtract as they wish. So in essence, a lot of different people wrote the gift economy article.

It's pretty obvious, if you study the sentence structures.

I didn't think you wrote it, RAWV, doesn't sound like you. atleast parts of it doesn't.

so, really, you can edit and rewrite it! It needs a little polishing up. I don't know if the reference to the Burning Man Festival and Freecyle are examples of gift economies. But, as much as I'd like.. I won't touch other's work.

It's a cool concept, but in other words, using Wikipedia makes one have to double check the source.
