Paul McCartney is a wanker and I can't think of more than one good song that he wrote post Beatles. And let's not even talk about the "sir" part. Accepting a knighthood has got to be one of the most un-rock n roll things that a person could ever do.

He makes my top 5 pieces of shit list along with Bono and some other assholes.

Now top 5 bands/albums/etc. That's really fucking hard to do and subject to change.

Bands:
1) The Clash
2) The Pogues
3) X
4) Dead Kennedys
5) Like I said really fucking hard, I'd like to throw the Who in there perhaps, Chumbawamba too.

Hi stuff with the Beatles was really good, and he was a pretty good bassist. His solo carreer doesn't impress me though.

I agree: Bono sucks. This forum needs a "I hate Bono" thread.

Freddy Mercury (If he was the guitarists for Queen, not sure)

You're thinking of Brian May. Although Freddie did play rhythm on 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' both on stage and in the studio. Maybe he did on some other songs too, I'm not sure...

Great choices, Sgt. Pepper! Except for Springsteen, all of those artists rock!

Robert Randolph is cool, although a strange choice...

Good choices for best songs. Radio Radio is a strange choice also. That's one of my least favorities from that album. Good, but not as good as a lot of other Costello.

Robert Randolph does a damn good live show, althogh If I was thinking I would have put the phish guitarists on the list instead because of their antics, another good choice for that category would have been Sonic Youth. As for Costello, I needed to put a song on that list and "Radio Radio" was the first that popped into my head, seeing as it's the theme song for my radio show.

Come on, fair enough he didnt write many good songs after the beatles, apart from Maybe I'm Amazed and Live and Let Die. But he must have personally written at least 200 songs (I'm thinking its probably more than that) while he was in The Beatles. As i skim through the albums in my head its very rare that I find a bad song, beatles albums are, mostly, packed with awesome songs, there are no fillers.

How exactly?
Paul McCarney could be revealed as a transvestite and John Lennon as a peadophile and it still wouldn't distract from the fact that that collection of songs is the most perfect back catalogue in rock...

Lawyers please take note, I wasn't implying that either of those examples were true, it was only for the purpose of demonstration...
