i've noticed that with new people, if they have an opinion against yours (regs); you immediately bash them, telling them that's not how you earn respect.
what is "respect?"
when someone shares their views, be it on something you're for and they're against.. why must you tell them to be less critical, isn't this what this whole forum is for? we all come here with general ideas and beliefs, instead of trying to get under someone's skin, why not attempt a common understanding?
