I'm starting a new thread for one single purpose for people who are interested in Che Guevara and have opposing beliefs to the Sale of Che Merchandise, and the expansion of Leftist sites and views.. If you believe in the views of Che, Marx, Lenin than please reply and tell your oppinon of the .. what i am going to call "Che Trend"..
ALL oppinions welcome..
Personally I beieve that the selling of any merchandise of Che Guevara, is anything but honoring to his beliefs, and i read on a previous thread someone talking about my oppinion on this, and said "The expansion of communist beliefs".. if the expansion of Che Guevara and communist beliefs has to happen through the means of Capitalism, i am not for it.. So if you are for taking a boycott on Che Guevara merchandise.. spread the word, and spread the truth through your schools, workplaces and stores.. PLease, for Che's sake, let the people know the man.. not the myth..

its that damn capitalist merchandise that told me there's a guy named Che Guevara.
Rage Against the Machine had this flag with his famous picture, so i looked and it and wondered ... "who the hell is that guy?" and then started researching...
mmm well.. i cant say i disagree with u... but...
i think all of this like Che's merch and the Red star merchandise and all... its good for political groups or individuals that want to express their thoughts through clothes, patches and so on....

I can't say I agree with that. I don't like the idea of major corporations profiting from our communist beliefs, it's as if they are mocking us. Many people don't even know who che is but they will by a t-shirt, poster, or patch. This supports the corporations which we are against. BUT, if you find a private owned store with merchandise, then it is completley different, I was refering to corps like Gap, which owns hot topic.

So, what. If they weren't proofitering of Che's face, it would have been something else. I am glad that it's Che's face, this atleast attracts people to his ideas and struggle.

daviddelaserna,
Che himself oppose to Soviet's road to use capitalist means to achieve socialist ends, and I understand your sentiments and logic.
But Marx talked about the proliferation and mushrooming of capitalism and its ultimate "grave-digging" destiny.
Think about it.

i hear you fidel.. and its true your right,.. but that doesn't necessarily justify these actions.. and its not the matter of being pissed off at this site, ii just want to bring up the topic and hear new oppinions.. and as for .. i forget thename of the personw ho stated that it is spreading awareness.. i agree wiht mitch flo.. to the point iup till the private profiteering .. it doesnt have to be at that expense.. it has gone over board,.. the expansion of ches image has been exploited now to the pint where i have seen.. yes i have seen it.. kids in my school wearign the shirt telling me that the bush administration had rights to go ionto iraq.. and have never "terrorized" a nother nation.. united states is the "victim" not the "victimizer".. which is the wrong idea.. and weargin the shirt why telling me this irritates me and makes me feel the need to express these points and let everyone know and understand the image.. which is why ultimately ihope this site is running.. byut this thread was for awareness and oppinions.. notbashing.. and for the record i could name off plenty of incidents in which the united states carrieed out "Terrorist" actions (being so that terrorism is th esame as the definition) .. so united states are not the victims.. as many of you can clearly see,.. with imf, nafta, gb, and so on.. look deeper.. and the simple fact that a pro-capitalist was wearinga che shirt gets me driven and mad, because COMMUNISM is to be spread y beliefs and by knowledge not exploitation of the original cause.

Your Ideas are making more sense now, but I still don't agree with all of them, but we don't all share the same ideas, do we?

No i agree.. and i may come off as a hard ball, and i dont necessarily tink im 100% right because they are IDEAS not FACTS.. the only facts that i own and posess about this subject is the fact that every person who said that the site needs the t-shirt sales to keep running is a liar.. why my friend do i say this? .. because at selling a t-shirt at 24 dollars american .. higher than the standard cost of a t-shirt.. with a great reasonable profit.. and with the website at a .com only costing 2.50 CANADIAN.. that leaves for every shirt at least 10 dollars profit.. so whos exploiting.. If you pay attention and not always believe what everyone is sayig and be literate and pick out the facts adn do some good old research for yourself.. you will realize and find the ultimate truth.. and this not only with the wbesite but with the stores will anger you as much as me when you get to know che and if you respect communism and marx.. i am a proud person to say i own no che apparel i learned of che through research of marxism not because of his image..a nd it angers me to see people so oblivious of his true character.. hint the name of this thread.. THE MAN NOT THE MYTH..
i respect you mitch, for responding and for paying attention..which seems to not happen much in this ovely apathetic west we live in
