it´s time i declared my love for this woman. forget all the conspiracy theories surrounding kurt´s death. but don´t forget her showing up drunk, flashing, drug use, the debauchery, or how gorgeous she is. because that is why courtney is awesome. she´s pure. she´s not putting on any pretenses about needing to be deep and profound. she´s in it for money and fame and recognition. and she´s also in it because she´s so into herself and likes to sing about herself and share how tragic she is and how much of a badass she is, too. this may just be a matter of opinion, but her music is great. and it evolves like she does. though courtney doesn´t really evolve. she just passes through phases in her life. but yeah, she´s a ***** and doesn´t care what you say about her. and if she does, she´ll more than likely throw it back in your face. and i think that´s what women need to do. fuck being demure or melancholy. i´ll still always love janis more than any other singer in the world, but we´ve got to face it, the typical janis reaction to a broken heart would be to go sing the blues. the courtney reaction is to get the blood lust, to go after him or his reputation with a vengeance, however you can pull it off, through song, words, or a kick in the balls. you can´t let fuckers get away with this type of shit. so in summation, i´ve taken a slightly more courtney approach to things, not in the sense of emulating her completely but just taking a few key attitudes. like use the asshole before he gets a chance to use you. tell people how you really feel about them because then you´ll feel so much better. and i just realized this whole post has been a drunken piece of shit. but i figure you can try to pick out the good parts. and listen to courtney love. so yeah, here´s a more chill song.......but hard or soft, she does it all well.

Your post as far as why you like Courtney Love was interesting. Especially as far as men are concerned... I'm not sure even Courtney would agree with your ideas.

I still don't let men open doors for me, and when I do go on a date I usually pay for them and me.

I guess the idea of women using men really makes me angry, because I've had to work hard my whole life as did my mother and grandmother and great grandmother and great great grandmother before me, and still I have to listen to this bullshit of men are helping women, where, they get more money, better jobs, and I have seen professionally they have a lot more power, even in negotiations, its' like they can do no wrong, where is a woman I have to prove myself night and day.

I've seen Courtney up close before, she pissed me off, she's kind of an asshole. Once in a while she has the balls to say something cool, but then she follows it up with her ego, so it kind of ruins it. Like when Kurt died I was there in Seattle right after and she was all fucked up.

I wish her the best but she fucked over a lot of people, and got high in front of her daughter who already has a disposition to drug abuse. i hope Frances is a great musician and doesn't use.

I also hate that Republican use her and people in the industry like her as examples of shaping up my generation with tough love through the criminal justice department. Sometimes it seems they want to round all us Xers up and put us in the pen.

I feel the same way, I remember the me generation throwing their kids out on the streets for "tough love" and that most of those kids died or went to prison. The me generation said "Oh well" and focused on taking care of the baby y generation so well that they spoiled those bastards rotten, aka 24 year olds who have never worked a day in their life, because the me generation felt they could "control them better" I'm proud to be uncontrolled, but I pay my own way, I am ashamed of a lot of shit Courtney pulls.

She doesn't speak for all of us Lower East Side Punk Rock Women she and the Babes from Toyland called Riot Grrls she only speaks for herself, which is fine, but don't pin that on me or have the other hardcore punk rock witches which Courtney idealized in her youth, and many of whom she copies in her look and attitudes.

Sorry the person misjudged my comments, most men are totally cool, my anger was about social judgements of women by men and women who see women as needing to live off of men. This is not angry at men at all, far from it. It's a wish for their freedom from the idea of having to pay for a woman, while recognizing that this has not really been the case, men having to pay for women in my family for many generations, and I don't think my family is that different from others.

As far as the person who originally posted. I do not agree with your idea of using men, using or abusing any human being for any reason is more capitalist driven competitive bullshit.

I think it is important to seperate the pedagogy of "patriarchy and oppression" and "machismo" from the category of gender, as many women believe in these stereotypes, and most men I have met do not.

I think pete will be fine ive seen afew interviews with him recently and hes much cleaner than say six months ago, apparently he's doing it for Kate who he's in "love" with.

Hopefully Miss Love will be dead soon shes the worst excuse for a person in history shes even more pointless than that fat woman who won pop idol or whatever in the UK my god she was rubbish. I can only imagine how shes fucking up her daughters life.
