I just watched it. All I could figure in the Chorus, was "Che Guevara" but the music is international so even though I couldn't understand her, the video is very effective, including the shots of Che's corpse. A personal note: I think a female like her handling a gun like a Guerrilla is HOT ^_^. I wonder if that is really her baby?

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, the video is in Spanish..the lyrics are the same of Carlos Puebla's Hasta Siempre song. You can find them online and translate if you're interested. But yeah, the video is effective and guerrilleras (female guerillas) are destructive in a very sexy way though. I'm lucky I have my guerrillera of a girlfriend at home. And I don't know if it is her baby.

Hahaha yeah I've listened to so many versions. It's amazing how that song was such an inspirational hit back in the 60s. :che:

But did you like the video? And yeah, the Buena Vista Social Club is the original Carlos Puebla song. It is indeed the best. It's what made every other version come out.

It sure does have so much love for Che!! I have it burned on a CD and I always play it everytime I go to work. It makes me feel powerful even though it's sung by a woman, I don't know..lol it's just a powerful and moving song. Yeah, she mentions Fidel when she's talking near the end... "Y con Fidel te decimos
Hasta siempre Comandante" which means "..and as Fidel we say 'till forever Comandante'" If anyone would like me to translate the song, I will be more than happy to :D

How fresh and sensual ! This is the first time I see such passion to an endless anthem. I have on my computer fifteen versions of this theme, and this is the most modern one... It could be used in the upcoming CHE film, if only to bring strength to the movement.

Has anyone ever heard the one from chjami aghjales ? It has a reverb sound to it, makes the song almost like a religious theme, the vocals are quite powerful... I was amused the first time I heard it, now I deeply respect it.

Yes, I also have that version in my computer. I have to listen to it again because I forgot how it plays; just the name rings a bell.

Yes, this song is very sensual. I love it because it does show a great deal of passion through her voice and also through the video. And about the upcoming Che movie, I don't think any of these versions would be good for the movie because of the fact that this Che movie is going to be in english. It's really pathetic. If the movie is in Spanish, then I would definitely recommend them putting this song by Nathalie Cardone.

Yet again Che's image has been exploited in the name of commercialism!!

I can't beleive you people are enjoying this! This clip is just for commercial purpuses! Nathalie Cardone is just a french bimbo; she's trying to be a famous singer and she thinks this song will get her there! Such BS! She probably never heard of Che before she signed for this shit! I heard that the guy who produced this clip was simply looking for some random hot chick to put in his vid. Nathalie Cardone has no feelings towards che and his ideals, all she's looking for is money, and that's why she agreed to sing this. Besides her accent is dissgusting!

And what's the deal with the whole dancing in rain? Once again capitalism is exploiting women's body! That dancing in the rain scene had no place, it's like a copy of that "it's raining men" song!!! Che surely wouldn't have approved of it! AND THE BABY!!! WTF WAS THE BABY DOING THERE?

This clip is the most random and commercial clip ive seen about che.

I would probably aggree with you if I knew what you were talking about, comrade.

I think that most any French are money whores and just the thought of having a French prostitute that sounds like a blond who knows nothing of Che or his cause is sickening.

But I am not saying anything until I get a link or more information about her.

Who knows, she may be a strong supporter after all.

Here's her site, (its in french thow) : http://www.chez.com/nathaliecardone/

And if you google her name, after the fourth link, all you get is "Nathalie Cardone NUDE" kind of links.......im not impressed...as far as i can see she's just a hoe.

Commercial exploitation of a true revolutionary. This is nothing new. Che's image has alreay been commercialised through t-shirts and posters. Recently however National Geographic(can't tell if it was indian one or honk kong) launched a television mini series mimicking Che's south american trip with Granados only this one was through India to Europe! Throughout the programme many references to Che were given but they showed nothing of the poverty afflicting those areas! Just two "road warriors" battling the elements. Aparently not only Che's image but his experiences are now commercialised!
That's capitalism for you!

I like the original version better. The video was truly random and I was shocked to see a baby there. The actual song was very good though. The intensions might be noble or she is just making money of our hero. Who knows?
